Wattle Hill Kindergarten has been providing early childhood education to the children in this community since the 1950's. Our kindergarten boasts a beautiful garden setting where children can play and explore, in a natural environment adjacent to Wattle Park.

Our philosophy and program of teaching and learning is influenced by The Reggio Emilia Experience. Find out more about the Reggio Emilia Experience.

Our Director, Sofi Galanis and Director's Assistant, Connie Mills, work closely alongside each other to deliver a high quality, flexible program based around the needs of three, four and five year old children. Our regular program provides a balance of active and quiet activities, both indoor and outdoor for the children.

In addition to the regular program, many alternative experiences are enjoyed. Incursions and excursions remain integral to broadening the children's opportunity for learning and fun. This includes dressing up, meeting animals, listening to live music, becoming an audience member and exploring new environments. Natural equipment is generally favoured and the kinder is exceptionally equipped with many education resources for early childhood learning.

Working with parents as partners, our teachers and kindergarten community aim to assist each child to develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. This encourages our children to become confident and independent individuals having an experience of a lifetime.

Please note, the program of Wattle Hill Kindergarten is subject to change.
